The room was basic and dated, but roomy and clean, with a comfortable bed and good pillows. We ate at Georgie's too. My Fisherman's Wharf, the priciest item, was so salty it tasted bitter, while my spouse's cheaper fish and chips was done well. The server seemed to be watching the clock until her shift ended. They accepted my two-night booking even though all the tourist attractions around Twillingate were closed for the season. A warning call about that mix-up would have helped. I packed up and left a day early rather than waste the day, and they did refund the second night. One more thing, don't trust Google OPEN/CLOSED listings for attractions. They all showed as OPEN that day, incorrectly.

The pub downstairs had entertainment six nights a week, and the performer was fantastic. The attached restaurant served great food with friendly service, too. We stayed three nights and found our room really clean and comfortable. Both places fill up fast, so make reservations.

We had an ocean-view room, and wow, what a view. The beds were comfortable, the room was a good size, and it had the basics we needed: a bar fridge, coffee maker, and ice machine. There's no breakfast included, but there is a restaurant on site. We didn't get to eat there since we were already on the road before it opened. There's also a coffee and pastry shop across the street. After the dinner theatre we stopped at the pub on site and heard a guy singing and playing guitar. He was a great storyteller, and we had a really good time. The front desk lady was pleasant and helped my friends and me check in, then pointed us toward the theatre and shops. They're about a ten-minute walk away. We stayed just one night, but it covered what we needed. I'd stay here again if we came through Twillingate.

We were there late in the season, so we missed the icebergs I'd heard were so impressive. Still, the views from the window were amazing. The Ancho Inn was a lovely place to stay in Twillingate, with places to eat nearby and a great starting point for some beautiful drives around Newfoundland.

We stayed in the annex, which is a little farther out of the way. The room was clean, the staff polite, and the pub, restaurant, and cafe were all good. The place is centrally located for Twillingate and Crows Head, and the kitchenette is handy if you want to save on food costs. Nothing wrong with it.
