We spent three nights in the "coast house" and saw beautiful sunrises and shooting stars from the porches. The house is beautiful and in a great location, with the Cabot Trail tour nearby. John was hospitable, helpful, and accommodating.

The cottage was clean, and we appreciated the view and location. We enjoy morning coffee, so having filters for the coffee pot would have been nice. The interior decor was fairly sparse, and some of the small thoughtful touches that can make a stay outstanding were missing. A few bottles of water would have been a considerate addition.

John was a gracious host, and this was one of the best places we stayed during our two week trip to the Maritimes. We ran out of time and wished we could stay longer. It’s a great base for exploring Cape Breton, and Baddeck is a lovely little town. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay in "Bute Arran," one of the cottages offered by Broadwater Inn. It was clean and comfortable, and John was welcoming and helpful. The location worked perfectly for exploring Cape Breton. We’d love to come back someday!

Privacy and beautiful scenery were exactly what I was looking for, and the Baycroft cabin was stunning, with everything I needed. The deck has a hot tub, and there’s a firepit with wood overlooking the Bras Dor lakes. I’ve visited lots of places on Cape Breton Island, and this is my favourite destination so far. Baddeck is a quaint village with a relaxed feel, music, great food, and the best shopping at the Outdoor store. Be sure to visit the Highwheeler Cafe for great coffee and meals. John is extremely friendly and makes an effort to make your stay memorable. I’ve just got back and can’t wait to return to this little piece of heaven. If you’re visiting the area, contact Broadwater Inn. It deserves well beyond a five star rating. Thanks, John, for your hospitality!
