Auberge Gisele's Inn

My wife really liked the room, and it was interesting to see everyone getting ready for the season, from the garden work to the new restaurant and staff training. There were some opening hiccups: the Wi-Fi and TV weren’t working properly, and the staff tried to sort them out, though it was the weekend and the cable company’s help was limited. Still, it’s a lovely place to stay. Once the issues are fixed and the staff are fully up and running, I’d come back.

Wahab and his team made us feel welcome and were very accommodating. We stayed for a few nights in late October, and the clean, comfortable room was good value, with incredible views. There are great hikes nearby and some excellent restaurants in Beddeck. We’d stay again without hesitation, an easy five stars.

The staff are what make this Inn special. They were friendly, helpful, and honest. We accidentally left something important to my dad behind, and when we came back for it, they had it carefully wrapped and waiting for us. The rooms were lovely, though the bath water pressure could be better. Breakfast was decent, but it isn’t included. If I find myself wanting to return to the Cabot Trail, I’d definitely stay here again. The scenery is lovely too.

The room was clean, but it felt dated, and hot water took forever. We could hear the guests upstairs clomping around constantly through the thin walls, and the Wi-Fi was poor. Check-in and reception were lacklustre. For the price, it wasn’t worth it.
