The owners were really friendly and made us a delicious breakfast, and our room was very clean. There are restaurants close by, too. The location is peaceful and there was a nice breeze, so we slept well. Just be careful to follow the no-scent rule, including with things like shampoo and sunscreen.

We were trying to find a scent-friendly place because someone in our group has allergies. At the door, the owner sniffed me to check whether I smoked. Once we got inside, the owner suddenly panicked and rushed out, saying someone was wearing perfume. That wasn't the case, especially given our own allergy concerns. It was a very strange experience.

We booked this several months in advance for our annual weekend away. The owner called the day before we arrived and asked us to avoid two specific types of laundry detergent because of her scent allergies. We said that was fine. But when we got there, she sniffed the first person in our group as they came in and said we had to leave because someone smelled like something that triggered her allergies. On the phone she'd only mentioned two detergents, then at the house she said she was allergic to all scents. The website does say scent-free, but it doesn't make clear how much guests are expected to accommodate. We wouldn't recommend it. We found a lovely Airbnb nearby with a lovely host instead.
