The staff were lovely overall, though an older woman at the front desk was abrupt when I asked how to get my car from the parkade after checkout. She replied, “what do you think you do? You need a card so come get one.” The rooms are dated but okay, and the information cards aren't accurate: the restaurant starts breakfast at 7 a.m., not 6. The toilet handle was very loose and made flushing difficult. They still use tiny creamers, and some had been left out long enough that milk floaties ended up in my coffee. I highly recommend switching to milk carafes like many hotels and restaurants have done. It means less spoilage and garbage, and they're easier to use, especially in conference rooms.

The housekeeping team was friendly and helpful during our eight-night stay while our home was being renovated. My frustration was with front desk communication and follow-through. Pauline, the older woman at the desk, often seemed dismissive and inattentive to details. We had first booked an extension, then learned we could go home earlier, so I called from work to cancel it. Pauline assured me the reservation would be updated, but when I checked that evening it was still there. I also asked her a couple of times to have housekeeping empty the garbage. We'd initially declined room cleaning, and the housekeeper had said we could tell the desk if we needed anything. The request never made it to housekeeping. The housekeeping staff were wonderful to deal with, but the desk experience was frustrating. In my opinion, the poor communication and lack of follow-through fell short of acceptable customer service.

We stayed here on our way back from West Edmonton and found it very clean, with nice new rooms. It was just $140 a night for our room for two, and the price felt cheap. There's a very good steak restaurant next door. The location was perfect for us near the south end of Edmonton, especially if you need to take Highway 2. Mullins hotel was great, and I'd recommend it to anyone staying in southern Edmonton.

The front desk team is always polite and welcoming, and their genuine hospitality sets a high standard. The rooms are consistently clean and top notch. Excellent accommodation.
