Harbourside Lodge

We had nothing but good things to say about Brenda and her team, and the accommodations were great too. We really enjoyed our stay at Harbourside Lodge last week and are already looking forward to coming back next August.

The inlet views are breathtaking, and there’s solid moorage, fish-cleaning tables, picnic tables, and a big deck where you can sit with coffee and watch the sunrise. Aussie John runs a tight ship at this friendly, family-run lodge. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here.

After finishing the West Coast Trail in Bamfield, my buddy and I had one day left and hoped to go on a fishing charter. John initially helped us arrange one for the following day and confirmed that lodging was possible as well. Once we realized the lodge was on the other side of town from the restaurant and pub, we called him. He seemed to understand why staying there would be difficult, so we changed our lodging booking to a place on the right side of town. It appeared to be no issue, and John said the charter would collect us from the port there at 6 AM. About an hour later, I got a text cancelling the charter, with no further explanation or communication. We had no time to find another one, which was stressful since we really wanted to go. To be clear, we never actually did business with Harbourside Lodge for a charter because they wouldn't allow us to. I found the cancellation rude and highly unprofessional, and based on how we were treated, I wouldn't recommend the service.

Such kind people, and we had a great experience. They make you feel like family when you're there.
