Banff Aspen Lodge

After a long day on the slopes, the jacuzzi was so relaxing. Breakfast was filling and gave us plenty of energy to start the day. Staff were super kind and helpful, and the secure board storage made it easy to leave our boards overnight and pick them up before heading out in the morning. The location is convenient for restaurants and board-tuning shops. Rooms are quiet and spacious, and the showers are roomy and perfectly hot, I like them hell-level hot 😄. Highly recommend!

If I could give this place six stars, I would. The fragrance-free environment is an oasis for people with chemical sensitivities. The lobby, restaurant, and rooms were impeccably clean and smelled like NOTHING; the linens were washed with fragrance-free detergent. The dispenser soaps are scented with essential oils. The whole hotel feels thoughtfully designed and professionally run by kind staff. The front desk clerk welcomed us at midnight and let us check a room before booking. It's laid out well, with a comfortable bed even for a side sleeper, and a small table if you need to work. Breakfast had house-made breads, oatmeal, hot items, and a European-style assortment of meats and cheeses. The ventilation was a bit loud, but kept the room comfortable and not stuffy. The sauna and heated pool were lovely too. This lodge is a treasure. Our family plans to use the Banff Aspen Lodge as our base on future Banff trips, and we'll recommend it to our MCS network.

The breakfast buffet was good and gave us plenty of energy for long days skiing. The wait staff were wonderful. Our room was very comfortable, and the hotel amenities were excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful too. The ski bus stop was just a short walk away, by the next hotel. Glad we stayed here.

The housekeeping team were efficient and attentive, refreshing our room each morning while we had the complimentary breakfast downstairs. Every staff member was kind and welcoming, and we're looking forward to coming back. We liked the convenient location, free parking behind the building, and the many nearby dining options. The hot tubs did have a noticeable chemical smell, like most indoor pools, and the steam room felt a little dated and had a mild odor.
