The excellent breakfast and lovely hot pools were highlights, especially after a day on the slopes. Our room with a fireplace was charming, and it's great that the lift pass includes buses to all three ski areas. Still, I really wanted to rate the place higher because much of it is fantastic. The bar and restaurant hours were a letdown. The website says the bar stays open until 10 PM, and reception told us it might stay open until 11 if busy. But it wasn't open until 10 on any evening we were there. Three times we came back to the hotel just after nine hoping for a drink before bed and found it closed. On holiday, after paying a lot, we expect the service to match what was promised.

Everyone, from reception to the cleaning and restaurant teams, went above and beyond to make our two-week stay special. Nina at reception deserves a special mention. She always made time for us and asked how our day had gone. We had booked a superior king room, and it was everything we could have hoped for. The kitchenette was especially useful for a stay of that length. Most mornings we ate at the restaurant or got takeaway. The food was high quality, reasonably priced, and the menu had plenty of choice. It never disappointed, and some of it was among the best hotel food we've had. Canoe and Suites made a very impressive first impression, with a lovely welcome as soon as we walked in.

Being at the far end of Banff Avenue wasn't a problem, since complimentary Banff buses on Route 1 and 2 stop right outside. We had a comfortable, enjoyable weekend in January and would happily return. The rooftop has two outdoor hot pools with spectacular mountain views, and the sauna and onsite Sudden Sally restaurant were great amenities. For the gym, we walked next door to the Otter Hotel. Our mountain-view room had a balcony overlooking the Canadian Rockies, a kitchenette with a sink, microwave, and mini fridge, plus a spacious bathroom. Waking up to that scenery was special. Hotel Canoe and Suites is one of the most beautiful properties along Banff Avenue, with a stylish rustic-modern design that feels cozy and contemporary.

The team at Hotel Canoe made our son's 15th birthday feel unforgettable. We asked for a small surprise cake, and they had a delicious cake waiting in the room along with a lovely card. Such a thoughtful moment for our family. After long days exploring Banff, having delicious coffee and tea to take to the room each evening was another welcoming touch. The care and warmth in every detail made our family week amazing. We loved every moment and hope to do it again soon! ❄️🏔️✨

Our room's mountain view was amazing, and waking up to it made the stay feel special. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained during our two nights at Canoe and Suites Hotel in January. The hot pool overlooking the mountains was the highlight, especially in winter, and a really relaxing, memorable experience. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. A great spot to unwind and enjoy the Rockies. We'd love to return and would recommend it.
