The Kenrick Hotel

That pool setup was hard to beat: a big swimming pool, two hot tubs, a cold plunge, steam room, and sauna. We also loved the gorgeous view and being right on Banff Ave, with everything within walking distance. The room was clean and cozy, and the reusable water bottles were a great touch. My wife and kids brought me for my birthday, and the staff had left a nice card and chocolate. We only spoke with people at check-in and check-out, but everyone seemed very nice. One thing to check ahead: vehicle height. Our Tiguan just fit, and putting our skis on the roof would have made parking difficult. I’m sure there are options for bigger vehicles, so it may be worth asking. Great for families or couples.

The Kendrick was a gem right in downtown Banff, close enough to walk to shops and good restaurants. It was our first stay, and from the easy check-in to the spacious, immaculate room and mountain views, we were impressed. The beds and linens were so comfortable that we both slept well. We also really enjoyed the pool, sauna, and the overall atmosphere. We’ll definitely come back.

Our suite was amazing and worth paying a little extra for. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful, and meeting one of the owners at the pool gave us a sense of why the team is so impressive. We’d had a rough start to our workday, but checking in at the Kenrick turned things around and was just what we needed. We’ll absolutely be back.

The guest amenities were such a thoughtful surprise: games, books, records, and record players, things we hadn’t come across at other hotels. Glorian, the concierge, also went out of his way to make my husband’s birthday weekend special, and we’re very grateful. Our room at The Kenrick was beautiful and spacious. We wholeheartedly recommend it and will return.
