I tried for weeks to cancel our reservation, calling, leaving voicemails, texting, and emailing, but nobody responded. The colleagues who were meant to stay never did, yet we were charged more than $700 in full. They were traveling to support First Nations community services in the area, which made the lack of communication and help especially disappointing. When my colleagues later stayed at 1202 Motor Inn, they had a much better experience. That business responded promptly to calls and emails. Our organization will keep supporting community work here for years, so it’s unfortunate Buckshot Betty Motel showed no interest in building a positive relationship with groups that regularly travel to the community.
