Stardust Motel Bedford

My brother lost $1,000, and I’m back out on the street in these cold nights. He booked and paid $850 for a week, plus a $250 damage deposit in cash, but the manager took the money and wouldn’t let me stay because my brother couldn’t spend the night. I’m a homeless senior citizen without a credit card, living rough. We understand the policy that the person who rents the room has to be there. My brother lives just four blocks away, is a retired senior schoolteacher, and has a family he needs to attend to. The manager told him she’d call the police to remove me if she found me sleeping alone in the warm room. This feels absurd and heartless. Whatever happened to compassion? Tell your friends not to spend money here. DO NOT STAY AT THE STARDUST HOTEL.

The only thing we noticed was that the bathroom had no exhaust fan. Putting one in could save the motel money over time. Otherwise, the place was quiet, and the other guests were respectful. Our room was very clean, and the staff seemed to pay close attention to details, even keeping the brochures neatly lined up on the tables. Would stay again!

The room was decent and I had a good stay, though I thought the price was a bit high. What stood out was the warm welcome at the front desk last month. The staff were kind and supportive, and that left a good impression.

My first visit here was great. The second time, though, I had to deal with the receptionist and it was ughh. She was older and seemed unsuited to the job. I hope life gets better for her, bless her cold heart. The younger woman was great. If you’re too old and bitter to deal with people, just stay home 🫡
