Comfort Inn Belleville

We chose this place for its closeness to Quinte Mall and nearby restaurants, and it worked out well. Getting here from Highway 401 is easy, and there's plenty of parking. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, especially the bed. Common areas were tidy and quiet, and everything seemed well organized. A good Belleville stop for shopping or just passing through.

The rooms are being fully redone, and the work is really well done. Everything feels brand new, and they're already through a little more than half of the rooms. I'd say the finished ones compare with or even beat other hotels in Belleville. The renovation was badly needed, and I'm glad they're following through on the common spaces too, which they'd only just started when I visited. I hope the breakfast area gets the same attention. Looking forward to coming back. What a difference since our last stay!

Rravi and Mara in particular deserve raises. Both were super helpful and friendly, as was all the staff. I enjoyed my few days at the comfort inn Belleville and will definitely visit again.

The rooms are much too bright at night. Whenever we mention the curtains, the staff laugh. We also had to deal with hockey kids running and screaming along the hall after 10, knocking on doors. The wall notice says excessive noise carries a $500 fine, but as far as I could tell nobody was fined. Customers should be reimbursed when the hotel doesn't enforce its own posted rules. We called about it several times: staff hung up on us, then left us on hold for 10 minutes, and we had to call twice more after another hang-up. On my first two calls, before we were even at the hotel, I was hung up on and then left waiting over 25 minutes. We've stayed four times in the last ten days. The first three stays were nicely priced, but Friday night's rate jumped by at least $70, and they put us at the end of the hall with the hockey teams. At checkout I was told they'd speak to management about reimbursement. We waited about 10 minutes while staff looked for someone to clear us out, with other customers waiting too. I was told there'd be a reimbursement, which I'd just convert to Wyndham Rewards. Their rooms were $90 cheaper last night, and in hindsight we should have gone there. Lesson learned. My points didn't change after the last two nights, either. The hotel says it wants to talk, and staff asked for and confirmed my number so they could call about reimbursement. They never did. That's why I'm posting: staff lied about calling back, and the hotel didn't meet or enforce its own noise standards. We've decided to move to Wyndham Rewards. All smoke and mirrors dealing with the entity.
