Fairfield Inn & Suites Belleville

The room was clean and comfortable, with the usual amenities, enough space, and beds that were fine. Breakfast was the standard hotel spread, eggs, bacon, beans, coffee, and the usual options. Nothing special, but convenient and appreciated. We stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites in Belleville while visiting the area. It's a typical, run-of-the-mill place, with nothing fancy or memorable, but it did what we needed. Clean and reliable for the night, though not a destination hotel. If you want a straightforward, no-surprises stay in Belleville, it gets the job done.

The website lists "No elevators" under "Hotel Facilities," but you'd probably miss it unless you read the whole page carefully. It was a minor inconvenience for us, though we needed two trips upstairs to get all our luggage to the room. We spent our short stay wondering why a Major Chain Hotel in 2025 had no elevator. The property and room were clean, but the decor was unusual and a bit dated. The bed was comfortable. The room felt stuffy and a little musty when we arrived, and working out the heating and cooling unit was a challenge. Clear instructions would help, and a couple of spare blankets folded in a drawer would've been nice. The continental breakfast was okay. The welcome felt tepid, though we weren't expecting a parade. If we're in Belleville again, I suspect we'll look elsewhere.

The manager left a personal note and some little extras in our room, which was a really nice touch. We were there for a wedding reception, and the hotel was accommodating about letting the wedding party set up early. The party area was a great size for the guests. Staff quickly restocked the restroom supplies and took care of anything we needed. We'd definitely stay here again!

Clean and comfortable, with a good breakfast. Keep in mind that some rooms require going up a half flight of stairs, and there's no elevator for luggage.
