Danny’s Hotel Suites, SureStay Collection by Best Western

We only spent one night, but the beds were really comfortable. The room was clean, updated, and nice, and check-in that evening went well. It’s a good-looking, clean hotel. I’m surprised it doesn’t get busier.

This is my usual place to stay whenever I’m in the area. I come several times a year and have never had anything bad to say about Danny's. The service is consistently good, the rooms are clean, and the price is great for what you get.

Those Tesla Destination chargers at the property didn’t work for me, but I could use a charger at the Mazda dealer next door. After a long travel day and unexpected ferry delays, it was a relief that late check-in went smoothly. The staff member on duty was friendly and efficient, and the room was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but fine for a short visit. Breakfast tasted good and was nicely presented. I did feel for the one staffer juggling the front desk, breakfast area, and little restaurant all at once. She managed it impressively, but it doesn’t seem like a setup that can keep going. Danny’s Suites was decent value overall, though some operations could be improved.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was great, though the portions were much too large. You definitely get your money’s worth. The rooms were just okay, and the bathrooms are tiny. The A/C ran all night and left water on the floor. It’s a nice place with easy access to the city center.
