David's breakfasts were a highlight, and both he and Meike know a lot about the area and its history. They made us feel right at home. The house, grounds, and Meike's pottery are lovely, too, and the ocean views are outstanding. We stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. If the weather's good, ask them about getting to Red Cliff beach, a big stretch of sand with hardly anyone around. We had a great stay and wouldn't have been disappointed staying longer.

The pillows were flat and felt worn out, my one gripe. Otherwise, it was a great stay, and I'd definitely return. David and Mieke were splendid hosts, and their home and property were charming and well kept.

Watch out for the booking charges. I booked four nights for a wedding, but was charged for an empty room when I didn't show up. They charge for any booked night even if you cancel or move the booking to another night. B&Bs in Nova Scotia are allowed to set their own rules, so the hosts at Century House B&B will probably charge you too. Instead of booking ahead, you could take your chances and look for a B&B room when you need one.

The couple running this B&B were really friendly and pleasant. It was cozy and very clean, with a great breakfast included, and the price was reasonable.
