Mosaic At Blue Mountain Resorts

The Den was clean, newly renovated, and much roomier than we expected, so the suite itself felt worth it. We did wonder if the bed was really a queen, since it didn't feel that size. Parking was spacious once inside, and our pickup truck fit without trouble, though the garage entrance is very narrow and takes careful driving. Check-in was the rough part. We arrived just after 4 p.m. and waited about half an hour before anyone acknowledged us. Then we learned the room wasn't ready and couldn't get into the suite until after 5:30. The room and amenities were solid, but that long wait and the questionable bed size took away from the stay. A smoother check-in would have made a big difference.

This place is a party hotel. From Thursday through Saturday night, portable speakers and parties were going off all around. The village noise was tolerable, but this was disruptive. I was there for work and then had my child with me for the weekend. The front desk stopped answering calls, and since I was alone with my child, taking her downstairs after midnight to complain wasn't ideal. The hallway carpets were full of debris, and the same garbage stayed outside my room for all six nights. One afternoon, while I was on a work call, there was a quick knock and three people opened the door and came in. They apologized when they saw me and left. I caught up with them in the hall, and they said they were housekeeping, but had no cart or uniform, and my room had already been serviced. Even if they were staff, rushing into a room after a quick knock isn't acceptable. This was my second time here as part of a larger work event booking, and I don't expect to return.

Everything was walkable from this spot in the village, and we'd like to come back for a longer stay. Our visit included ski and snowshoe rentals, one Ridge Runner ride per stay, and unlimited access to the Canopy Adventure. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Underground parking was included in the Resort Fee paid during booking. We knew renovations had started in September but weren't sure whether they'd affect our visit. We ended up being the first guests in a freshly renovated room. It still smelled of the updates, but nearly everything was perfect, with a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bedding, and a decent view. There was no hot water in the washroom on our first night. One quick chat with their chatbot got maintenance up within 15 minutes, and hot water was available a few hours later after they finished some repairs.

The heated pool was a nice extra, and I appreciated having a fully stocked kitchenette. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The room was pretty dark, and the TV didn't work, but I'd stay here again.
