Imperia Hotel & Suites Boucherville

There are shops and restaurants nearby, though a lot of trucks circulate in the area. I think the location works well for a conference. You can host 100 or more people, with 80 being comfortable, and they can provide catering.

The location was good, far enough away to be quiet but not too far from Montreal when traffic is light. The room, though, was tiny, like a little box. My wife and I were visiting family in Boucherville on Saturday Oct 11, and I booked directly through the hotel website. For a supposed 4 stars hotel, I assumed breakfast came with the room. When we checked out after breakfast, they asked us to pay for it. I was sure it was a mistake, because the reservation didn’t say breakfast wasn’t included. They still insisted we pay extra, saying a reservation has to state “Breakfast included” or else it isn’t included. They became rude and condescending, which was surprising at a supposed 4 stars hotel. In almost 50 years of travelling, this was the first time this had happened to me. I asked my wife to pay and she paid $50 for a breakfast that couldn’t have cost more than $10 or $15. Very disappointing.

It’s a nice place to stay, but the drinks they stock in the refrigerator, soda, water, beer, and wine, are so expensive. There was no space left for the things we brought, so we had to empty it out. They also shouldn’t put alcohol in the room unless guests want it.

The room and bed were great, and I was quite happy with them last night. Service was great too, though the breakfast buffet is a bit pricey and there aren’t other options in the hotel. The location is fine, but it’s far from downtown Montreal.
