The place was clean, and I liked the atmosphere and setup. Breakfast wasn’t really a buffet in the way I expected. It was a small, regular breakfast with only a few menu options, and I thought there’d be more food and choice for something called a buffet. The pool was unpleasant because some kids were throwing a bowl around, splashing, jumping in, and bumping into me and other adults. There were a couple of white families, including mixed white and Black families, with a few children. The white kids lacked control. I wish the pool were bigger or had a second one for the annoying white kids. I wasted my time in the pool.

The bed was super comfortable, and though the room was a bit small, as others have mentioned, it was fine. I’d stay again for sure. I’d asked by phone about a week before arrival if I could have a top-floor room facing Taylor Road. I’d booked online on the Hilton website several weeks earlier, and they put me on the fourth floor, one below the top, facing the road. I regret that request a little because streetlights shone through the window, but live and learn. The lobby is modern and inviting, with couches, tables, hammock-style chairs, tall chairs at tables, and lots of places to charge your phone. The woman who checked me in was very nice, her name was Lae. Breakfast was good, with plenty of space and everything laid out well. There was a decent selection: scrambled eggs, pork sausage, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, fruit, yogurt, toast, and Bagels. I didn’t like the scent of the shampoo or shower gel, so I used my own. I left a written suggestion to protect the wooden floors in rooms with a mat by the door and a boot tray for snowy boots. Apparently they’re already working on that. It’d also help to clear snow more diligently near the front entrances, so less gets tracked in and damages the carpets. That didn’t affect my stay, though.

The rooms were clean and breakfast was good, and otherwise it was a great place to stay. The hotel itself was very nice. There weren’t any towels at the pool, and the woman who checked us in was a little rude. If you’re hoping for a quiet stay, I’d probably choose somewhere else. Kids were running and screaming up and down the halls. I honestly didn’t mind, but someone else did, since the cops came.

We were mostly satisfied with our two-night stay. The service was friendly, the room was beautiful and very clean, and the lobby’s 24-7 coffee was a nice touch. It’s conveniently located off the highway, though parking was difficult when we arrived later. The king room was tiny, with nowhere to put suitcases except on a small table. There was no closet or dresser, and the hanging space wasn’t high enough for a suit jacket or dress to clear the table underneath. With an infant, the crib took up the whole corner, which made the room especially inconvenient. We also needed more outlets. Each side of the bed had just one plug, already used by the lamp and phone, so a power bar on each side would help.
