The pool booking system made an already frustrating tournament weekend worse. The hotel had knowingly booked several hockey teams, then limited pool access and made families reserve slots based on capacity. I understand why that might have made sense during Covid, but it feels unreasonable to keep doing it now, and the way it was handled was unacceptable. We paid a lot for the room, yet the kids were left with a 9 PM swim slot. For 10-year-olds, that’s impractical, especially when the pool is one of the few places they can unwind between games. The restrictions made the whole stay harder for families trying to enjoy the weekend. It feels like the system is there to make overbooking seem orderly, not to serve guests. We were there for a hockey tournament, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for one. I can imagine management replying with a polished apology about valuing feedback and taking it into consideration, but I don’t expect anything to change. Please don’t spend your time commenting on this review.

The pool and waterslide were a real hit with our family, and breakfast had lots of fresh choices for everyone. Our room was spacious and quiet, with very comfortable beds and everything we needed. The view was breathtaking, too. From check-in onward, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and so helpful. The whole hotel was spotless and well cared for, with a calm, comfortable feel. It’s easy to get to, and you can tell the team takes pride in making guests feel looked after. We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus Lacombe Inn & Suites and would happily return. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the Lacombe area.

Breakfast was outstanding. The staff were lovely, the bed was comfy, and the hot tub and pool had good hours. It wasn’t overrun with kids either. Great experience!

We haven’t stayed in the rooms, but when we’re visiting friends we come here for the pool, which costs $11 per person. The front lobby, pool, and pool bathrooms are extremely clean, and the front desk staff are really friendly. The 10-year-olds have a blast on the awesome waterside.

We drove from Winnipeg to Lethbridge, Calgary, and Lacombe, then eventually back to Winnipeg, a whirlwind trip of just over 3000 kms with half of it already behind us. We arrived the night of the 3rd of October 2025 and left the morning of the 5th. Travelling with elderly parents takes extra care and comfort, and having a reserved suite helped. The BW+ TEAM gave us stellar service without us needing to ask. From the warm welcome and morning greetings to the high standard of cleanliness, everything was taken care of. The breakfast team was energetic and masterful, the menus were bountiful and changed daily, and there were plenty of towels at the pool. Our only regret is having to leave. I’m almost hesitant to say it because I want to be able to stay again, but this is our home away from home. Thank you for making it a really special adventure.
