Nigel and Tessa are so welcoming and helpful, especially if you’re new to the area. Ask them for directions, city tips, or help planning your trip. They also keep maps and booklets in the sitting room. Tessa clearly loves making breakfast for guests, and it’s really good. The house has lovely character in the woodwork, a separate breakfast room, and a cozy sitting room where you can chat or catch up on the news. We booked two rooms for the night, and both were immaculate, with spotless bathrooms, good bedding, and air conditioning. It felt like being back in Devon visiting friends, and like they genuinely care for their guests beyond simply running a B&B.

The owners are warm and professional, and treated us as if we were at home. Their breakfast is wonderful, and you can tell it’s made with love. They also shared tips for exploring the amazing area. We took the boat to the 1000 islands that they recommended and ate at a great place on the lake they suggested. The inn and our room were very clean and well cared for. Strongly recommend.

Our hosts had great suggestions for restaurants, lake cruises, and scenic drives, and we had a fantastic night at the Green Woods Inn. Breakfast was amazing, with homemade jams made from fruit grown in their garden. We were glad to find a Tesla electric vehicle charging station, too. I’d highly recommend this B&B. Booking directly through their website gets you the best rate.

We only spent one night, but I’d definitely come back. The house and grounds are beautiful, the two owners are incredibly welcoming, and breakfast was amazing. I recommend this place without hesitation.

Before breakfast, we could walk through the beautiful gardens and see the herbs and vegetables growing. Breakfast itself included fresh berries, homemade croissants, organic yogurt, hemp granola, an omelette, fresh orange juice, coffee, and a choice of twenty teas. We ate at a lovely dining room table, and could make tea or coffee in the Parlour the evening before. I also loved the classic books upstairs in the hall.
