The green space was lovely, and the big showers were a nice touch. We were really happy with our stay. The cabins had lots of things to cook with, and being only a five minute drive from the beach was fantastic. We’ll definitely come back :) The cottages are really lovely, and the hosts are friendly.
I still come back to Lake Lands Cottages whenever I’m in this part of Cape Breton. It’s my favorite home away from home here, and I hope to enjoy several more years of stays. My late husband and I found this gem two or three years ago, and we loved visiting the area. Our fur kid Buddy, a well-behaved Rotterdam, was welcomed and loved it too. Keith and Buddy are no longer here with me, but the owners continue to keep a lovely place for guests. Treat yourself to a stay here. You’ll be glad you did ❤️
A nice, quiet place with all the amenities. The beach is a seven minute drive away. In the evenings, we enjoyed walking around, getting a fire going, and drinking tea.
We found the cottage comfy and homey, with the wood and decor blending together nicely. It’s small, with three bedrooms and one bathroom, and I wish there were another bathroom. There’s also a sofa bed, which was okay, though a firmer mattress would’ve made it more comfortable. It’s well equipped with a TV, cooking utensils, washer, and dryer. The location isn’t the best, but it’s okay, about 45+ minutes from Chetticamp. A nice cottage for time with family.
The location was great, and the place was quiet, very clean, and well equipped. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and would gladly stay again.
