Tall Ships Landing Coastal Resort

We loved the suite, it was gorgeous, clean, and had everything we needed. The big windows gave our two little ones a breathtaking view, and even with the aquatorium closed that day, we had so much fun with our two kids. The pool was beautiful, and the views were stunning. We’ll come back when the aquatorium is open, our mistake for not checking the hours. Finding the front desk was confusing, and it took a minute for the person there to find a trolley for all our gear. It seems to run more like a condo than a hotel, so some more signs would help guests who don’t know the building. The staff were incredibly friendly, though. We left a baby monitor in the room, and the staff found it; management packed and mailed it to us at their own cost, even though I offered to pay. We really appreciated that. We walked to the Brockville brewery for supper, and they were just as lovely. Brockville folks are apparently the best. Thank you, see you again!

We visited in winter and still enjoyed the views and all the amenities: a gym, pool, hot tub, and sauna. There are shared living spaces with TVs, plus a pool table, shuffle board, and kitchen. The rooms were beautiful, and the views from them were even better.

We went in to see the view and have a drink, but the waitress wasn’t very friendly. We ordered one glass of wine each and the bill came to $32. We weren’t impressed.

We rented the wheelchair accessible guest room. Getting around the room is easy, and the automatic door opener was wonderful, though its timer is very quick and it closes fast. The bathroom isn’t accessible in practice. Its door is easy to pass through, but it opens right in front of the toilet. To close it and use the toilet, a wheelchair has to slide under the sink area so the person can reach back and pull the door shut. There’s wheelchair space under the counter at the sink, but the mirror is too high. A lower extendable shaving mirror with regular and magnified views would let men shave and women apply makeup. There are no grab bars by the toilet. The shower has a seat and handheld shower head, but there’s a 3-inch lip to get in, and someone would need to transfer to the seat. A shower wheelchair wouldn’t fit at all.
