Bavarian Inn

There’s a great park close by, and the Bavarian Inn is lovely. The room was clean and well cared for, with a big, really comfortable bed. It had a microwave and table, and adjusting the temperature was easy, just like at home. I was very happy with the stay and glad to give it five stars.

The location is lovely, right on the bay and only a couple of minutes’ walk from the marina. There’s also a nice ice cream shop across the road. The room was large, and the motel has been updated, though it’s still an older place. The beds were very hard, with only two small pillows each; I asked for more and got them. The TV was tiny. The on-site pizza restaurant was okay, nothing special, but the staff were friendly.

The view was wonderful, and getting coffee and a tasty breakfast sandwich at The Copper Bean Cafe across the street was a real treat. We stayed two nights for a family function, and the rooms had clearly seen substantial updates. The beds were comfortable, the linens and bedding were clean, and everything worked. Still, there were cleanliness problems. The shower was clogged with hair and soap scum, though management dealt with it after we told them. The fridge worked, but its small freezer had an intimidating amount of ice buildup and wasn’t useful. Cobwebs stood out, and there was dust on the bathroom heater and floor trim. The stay worked out, and I’d probably return to the Bavarian Inn. I’ll definitely stop at The Copper Bean Cafe again.

The quiet surroundings made this a lovely break from busy city life. My room was cozy, very clean, and peaceful, just what I needed after a long drive. From arrival, I was met with real warmth and kindness, and it’s clear the owners put care into maintaining the place and looking after guests. Staying at the Bavarian Inn Motel in Bruce Mines felt like being at home away from home. I’m glad I chose it, and I’d happily come back. Thanks to the hosts for making it such a comfortable, memorable stay.
