Element by Marriott Vancouver Metrotown

We were in town for a wedding, and the location also made it easy to explore the city and go sightseeing. The room was clean and spacious, with a lovely balcony view, and we enjoyed the pool. Staff were polite and attentive throughout. Breakfast had a welcoming feel and a delicious buffet with options for vegetarians. Everyone on the team was friendly and helpful. The hotel exceeded what we expected, and we’d recommend it. We’ll definitely book again. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so lovely.

It works well for either a short or longer stay, with clean, spacious rooms and amenities like a fitness room, pool, quiet sitting area, and daily breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. Crystal Mall is right across the street, and you can walk to plenty of other places nearby.

The spa day was great, and I’d come back. As a tourist in my own city for one night, I also liked the suite: spacious, clean, just like the photos, with a great view, very good Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and a shower with good water pressure. The kitchen had everything needed to cook. Check-in and checkout were quick, and the fitness centre, pool, sauna, and changing rooms were clean and roomy. The complimentary continental breakfast was a huge letdown. The liquid eggs in the omelets were awful. The western omelet was a foamy, firm chunk like tofu, with red and green flakes meant to stand in for peppers, but no vegetables. The cheese version had only a tiny sliver of cheese. The eggs were inedible. Breakfast would have been better without them, or with hot porridge instead. For such a nice hotel, serving eggs like that made the place seem cheap. As a well-travelled Marriott member, I’ve never complained about eggs in a review before. A hotel that keeps its suites to a high standard shouldn’t have its Food and Beverage Manager serve them to an elite Marriott Member or any guest.

The pool was a little small, but in fantastic shape, with lounge chairs, a nice hot tub, and a sauna. The continental breakfast ran at good hours and had some pleasant surprises, including smoothies and a salad bar. The rooms were beautiful, modern, and very clean. Front desk staff were helpful and communicated well when we needed to change rooms. Parking was fantastic, with an easy-to-access parkade, and restaurants and other places were a comfortable walk away. Would definitely visit again.
