Acclaim Hotel Calgary Airport

We often choose this hotel when flying out of the airport. The extended parking rate works out about the same as other lots, and the shuttle is handy. George upgraded us to one of the renovated rooms, which looked fresh and beautifully done, with great lighting. We also loved the rooftop hot tubs, open until midnight.

The service was great, and Nilo was especially friendly and careful about keeping the rooftop hot tub clean and ready. The rooms are a little small and dated, though it looks like renovations are underway. The underground parking isn’t available right now.

We arrived for the start of a much anticipated family vacation and found a place that didn’t seem ready to host paying guests. Construction was everywhere: the main entrance was blocked off, the lot was fenced with materials and debris scattered around, and the only entrance stood unlocked instead of being keyed. Cardboard, plywood, plastic, and cement covered the entry hall. Staff seemed unsure what was going on, and the one elevator in service shuddered badly and looked like it needed major repairs. Our hallway had blood stained carpets, piles of sheets on carts, a pack n play, and an airport luggage cart. The room furnishings were worn, there were no shower doors, and the doors had no safety locks. This felt like a hard worn two star roadside motel. Our travel agent booked it, but after seeing the condition, I’m considering finding other accommodation. Avoid it.

The attached restaurant Pacinis was a real highlight, especially the bread station. Our room was well used but clean and comfortable, and it looked like some rooms may be getting work done. The shuttle driver got us to the airport right on schedule. Check-in was warm, friendly, and informative, and the front desk staff were so professional and kind. Thank you!
