Calgary Connect

Guy, the hostel manager, came in the middle of the night to help us check in and make sure we were settled. I’m very grateful for that. I stayed at this hostel for my first 10 days in Canada and couldn’t be happier with the choice. It was cleaner than many hostels I’ve stayed in around the world. The location is great, right downtown and on the C-Train street, and the cost is affordable.

For newcomers, I highly recommend this hostel. It’s downtown and close to everything, including the C-train, buses, parks, and attractions. Calgary Connect was clean and quiet, and we felt safe and comfortable. The manager, Guy, met us at night, checked us in, and kindly helped with all our questions as newcomers.

The shared areas made this stay especially enjoyable. There’s a large lounge with couches and a TV available around the clock, and two commercial kitchens with plenty of fridges, so cooking was easy. It was also easy to find restaurants and groceries nearby, and there’s outdoor parking at an affordable price. The suites are spacious, the internet is great, and the staff are helpful. You’re steps from the C-train and several bus routes, which makes getting around easy in any weather. It’s affordable and well worth the money. If you don’t want to feel alone, you’ll meet some lovely people here too.

I met people from all over the world during my stay, and the staff made me feel welcome. A big shout-out to Guy, who’s such a nice person, and to Lethina and John for being so helpful and welcoming. The place was clean and well equipped, with a convenient location near the C-train, making it easy to get around. Thanks for hosting me. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.
