Jackson, the valet, turned a stressful arrival into a much easier evening. I was flustered by downtown traffic and the lack of street parking, but he was patient and kind, took care of my family and me, and helped us check in quickly and safely. It’s rare for one person to completely turn around a difficult night, but Jackson did that for us. I’m so grateful for his exceptional service during our three-night stay.

Could someone share an email address for contacting the hotel about a billing issue? I prepaid for the room, was charged again at check-in, and now have another pending credit card charge for the same amount. Email would be easier to explain by since I’m currently on a cruise and can’t call. Thanks.

This was my second stay here. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the view from my 11th-floor room was great. Breakfast was complimentary, and the front desk service was good. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby. If I come back to Calgary, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Jackson and the other staff made us feel so welcome over a great weekend. Jackson at valet went above and beyond, checking whether we needed anything and arranging fresh popcorn, hot coffee, and water for tea. They even let us bring our own food and drinks into the breakfast lounge one evening to watch the Blue Jays game. The service felt better than what you get in some restaurants. We could walk to all our weekend events from the hotel. We also got a complimentary upgrade to a suite with a separate living area, though there wasn’t a door between it and the bedroom. The room was good overall, but I’m not a fan of showers with just one glass wall. Breakfast buffet had lots of hot and cold choices, and the hot dishes changed each day. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

The location is convenient, and the staff were pleasant, but this was a genuinely disappointing stay. I’m in downtown hotels regularly as a monthly commuter between BC and Alberta, so I’m not an occasional traveller with unrealistic expectations. I’d usually contact the property directly, but there’s no email or feedback form, and no way to reach anyone with a concern. Leaving a public review isn’t my preference. I usually book through Avion Rewards Visa, which routes through Expedia. If you book that way, be prepared: hotels routinely deny room requests for points guests, and staff seem coached to do so, claiming unavailability in ways that don’t hold up to basic scrutiny. I booked the same day, when the hotel still had significant availability, and had specifically noted my sensitivity to street noise. They put me facing the road, across from a restaurant with loud outdoor music. When I asked to switch, the agent suggested the only options were queen beds, even though I had a king. That felt more like discouraging me than giving a genuine answer. My floor was completely empty, and I didn’t see or hear another guest, so I don’t believe nothing else was available. The street noise was frustrating but might have been manageable. What made the night unpleasant were issues that should be easy to fix. A fire alarm right above the bed flashes bright green all night. The bedside lamp had a harsh white fluorescent bulb, and the bathroom fan runs constantly with no way to turn it off. A different bulb, tape over an LED, or a basic note in the room would have changed the experience. Whoever manages this property should spend a night in room 916 and assess it honestly. At checkout, I was told I should have asked in advance. I had asked in advance, that was the point. For anyone with sensory sensitivities, this isn’t a comfortable hotel. The breakfast is a standard continental one with mediocre coffee, and there’s no room service. Comfort clearly isn’t a priority here, and points guests don’t seem to be treated as full guests.
