Travellers Inn

Right off the highway, and the room was surprisingly clean. It had the usual little soap and shampoo/conditioner packets, plus plenty of towels. The front desk man was helpful and friendly late at night. The rate felt worth it for a road trip stop, especially if you only need the room for sleeping. The water pipes were a bit noisy when other guests used the water.

For $420, we stayed four days and three nights and got a room with a broken shower, a dirty microwave, and what looked like a single leftover toilet paper roll from the previous guest. The floor was dirty, and the walls and doors looked like they hadn't been wiped down in months. There were stains on the ceiling and paint peeling off it, too. On our last night, I tripped and scratched my back, leaving a few drops of blood on the linen. They returned only half of my deposit because of that.

The room was very clean, the bed was great, and the location was good. For a similar price, this seemed like the best option in the neighborhood. But management's control and sense of entitlement were way out of line. I was assaulted by the owner after I spoke with a homeless man before going to my room. As I was closing the door, he shoved it into my back, came into the room, and started talking about drugs and kicking me out. Later, after my neighbor and I got chatting and I went to join him in his room, management called to say that wasn't allowed. There was no apology or sign of regret about the aggressive behavior. I suppose you'd have a great stay if you didn't talk to locals or visit the neighbors.

The prices are hard to beat, and I really enjoyed staying here. It was clean and pet friendly, the staff were very sweet, and the other guests were friendly. Highly recommend.
