Holiday Inn Express Airport-Calgary by IHG

Terri, the breakfast cook, deserves a shout out for making great breakfasts and going out of her way to serve everyone. She greeted us with a smile each morning. Thanks for such great service! The pool, though, is best avoided. It's run down, the cleanliness seems questionable, and the signs on the wall are something else. Pretty sure guests know not to diarrhea in the pool, haha.

The good parts were that it was clean and comfortable, the staff were very nice, and breakfast was decent. But I love Holiday Inn Expresses and wouldn't stay at this one again. The whole hotel was too hot, including the breakfast area, hallways, and conference room. The hot tub jets barely worked, so it was basically a bath. There were no pool towels during any of our three nights. When we asked, we waited at least ten minutes, and staff seemed scrambled trying to find more. The parking spaces are only big enough for compact cars.

Terri from the kitchen staff was wonderful, welcoming, and friendly. She came in early so the candidates and instructors on our course could eat before their 6:30 start. She helped make sure everyone was ready. Thanks again, Terri!

We stayed around our flights and found the staff nice. You can arrange transport between the airport and hotel with them. The rooms are standard, but clean and practical, and the kids really enjoyed the excellent breakfast. The pool was great, especially the slide, which was a fun activity with the kids. Parking was free. We had an early flight, and they prepared breakfast bags for us to take along. That was a particularly thoughtful touch.
