Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Calgary South Conference Ctr

It was loud and packed, with kids running and screaming through the halls all day and night, stomping above us, and gathering outside our door. There were 20+ children on the waterslide and in the hot tub. Groups of them seemed to run through the building without any supervision. I understand sports teams need places to stay, but rules should be enforced in shared areas and kids should be watched. Their parents seemed not to care or consider the other guests. People without children deserve to enjoy the amenities they pay for too. Children aged 6-10 were using the fitness centre for hours, taking up the equipment and space so nobody else could use it. The hotel is nice, but with so many unsupervised kids we couldn't enjoy any of the amenities. It felt like my vacation was spent in an overcrowded daycare, except daycare children are supervised and parents usually care what they're doing. Pretty disappointing. I won't book with this chain again.

The staff were warm and welcoming throughout, and when they heard our daughter was celebrating her birthday that weekend, they surprised her with a gift, balloons, and a thoughtful handwritten card. She was so happy that the staff wished her a happy birthday. Everyone always stopped to say hello and check if we needed anything. The restaurant attached to the hotel had attentive, helpful staff, and the food was delicious. The location and parking were great too. The pool was clean and always had plenty of towels. We'll stay here again. 10/10 recommend.

The kids loved the water slides and had a great time in the pool and spa. As a mom, finding a weekend place the kids will enjoy can be hard, so I'm glad we found this gem. The staff made the stay even better. Nieves, the housekeeping supervisor, was friendly and accommodating. Mhery Anne and Valerie at the front desk were lovely, and Bala gave great service in the restaurant. The place was clean and welcoming, and perfect for families. We had a wonderful view over Deerfoot Meadows, which added a nice touch. The hotel is beautiful, and the room was spotless and very well cared for. The hospitality team were warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Everything was convenient, with a large, busy commercial area full of nearby shops and restaurants just minutes away. A big thank you to the front desk team for getting us checked in and to our room smoothly, and to housekeeping for keeping everything clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the service.
