Comfort Inn Cambridge - Highway 401

Two staff members walked straight into our room in the morning, unlocking the door without knocking, an hour before checkout. By then I’d had enough and called the manager to complain. The manager was very understanding and offered to refund one night, doing what she could to address it. I still won’t return, but I do want to acknowledge her response. The rest of the stay had problems too: few amenities, no luggage carts, and no cribs or pack and plays. The bathtub had no stopper, and they couldn’t provide one. They offered a room change that evening, but with a baby, that was inconvenient. A stopper costs a dollar at the dollar store. There were candy wrappers under the bed and a big draft from the window. At least parking was free, the beds were comfortable, and the linen was clean.

The room was clean, there are plenty of fast food places and grocery stores nearby, and we couldn’t hear the 401. But the bathroom door wouldn’t latch, and the AC kept running even though it had been in the -20s outside, so I unplugged it. Breakfast was a letdown: raw seasoned potatoes, cold cheese omelettes and cold sausage patties. I tried telling the attendant, but she didn’t seem to care and wouldn’t even take out her earbuds to listen. I was only there for one night.

I stayed for a few days with my pet after a house fire, during a frightening and uncertain time. The staff were so kind and welcoming that by the end, the place actually felt like home. Their care and the accommodations turned something dark into a positive memory for me. Thank you all!

I was in town for a conference and stayed one night. The room was clean, though the driveway hadn’t been plowed. From 4 a.m. on, someone in the parking lot kept revving and running their vehicle, and we could hear it from the second floor and couldn’t sleep through it. Sound may be an issue. Otherwise, the place met our needs for the night.
