Grand Canadian Resort

The location is great, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The units are spacious, and we liked being able to open the windows for fresh air in the evenings. But our two-bedroom suite got uncomfortably hot during the day in April 2025, and there was no AC. We were told the owners had to vote on when to turn it on for the season, and they hadn’t done that yet. I was usually sweating after getting ready to go out. They brought us two fans, but they didn’t help much. Luckily, we were out sightseeing most days. The pool was closed for repairs. We were told it would reopen Thursday, but it was still closed Saturday when we left. The rooms could use updating, and the tub and tile looked aged and not the cleanest, though not horrendous. It’s an okay hotel, but if you expect Marriott quality, you’ll be disappointed.

The rooms are spacious and clean, though clearly dated. The location is pleasantly secluded, about a 7-8 minute drive from Main Street and most of Canmore’s great shops and restaurants.

We had such a lovely girls’ trip and a wonderful time in this beautiful rental. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the kitchen had plenty of supplies. The mountain-view hot tub was fun, and we appreciated having underground parking and being close to Main Street. We’d definitely recommend it!

We stayed in room 283, right above the entrance, with a gorgeous mountain view. It was booked through Airbnb, and for a family of five it’s a great place to stay. Off-season, the underground parking was especially handy. The location is very quiet and away from the townsite, with a hiking trail close to the property. The host was amazing, and I’d definitely come back for the location. The two-bedroom unit was well equipped. One bedroom had a king bed, a tub, an upright shower, and a double vanity. There was also a baby crib if needed. The second bedroom had two queen beds and its own tub and shower. The kitchen had everything, including nice silverware, pots, pans, dishes, cloth napkin placements, and even McDonald’s coffee. Just bring any extra spices you’re used to. There was a dishwasher and apartment-sized upright washer and dryer, like you’d expect in an Airbnb. The amenities included what I think was a heated indoor and outdoor pool, plus a separate hot tub, hot sauna, and gym. I just wish they’d had steel wool so I could clean a pan after accidentally burning it. I love how it’s in the mountains. Three Sisters is named after the three mountains that form Canmore’s backdrop. This is where Canmore begins as a town. Twenty years ago it was all wilderness, and with how beautiful Canmore is, lodging has come a long way, with chalet-style places and log cabins around.
