Mystic Springs Chalets & Hot Pools

We’ll be back. It’s hard to find a nice dog-friendly place in town that isn’t just a small hotel room, and this was cozy and in a great location. It had everything we needed. We didn’t get to try the heated pool or hot tub, but they’re a nice extra.

The staff were friendly and easy to reach, and when my daughter accidentally left a stuffie behind, they quickly arranged to ship it back. We also appreciated having a park pass in the suite. The condo was spotless and well equipped, and the charcuterie and wine waiting for us on arrival were a lovely touch. We had a great time using the pool, hot tub, and outdoor BBQ area. We’ll definitely book here again when we’re back in Canmore soon.

The location is excellent, and the three-bedroom chalet was clean and well maintained. But there’s a bedbug problem, and this isn’t the first time it’s been reported in this unit. We found bedbugs in multiple beds. The chalet responded quickly when we told them and said the rooms had been cleaned, but clearly that wasn’t enough. Check the beds before unpacking if you stay here.

After getting a parking ticket while trying to figure out how to access the room, we found a huge clump of hair under the bed covers. Once we removed it, there were brownish streaks on the bottom sheet around mid-body level. The dishes we used still had price tags on their undersides, like they hadn’t been washed since purchase. And behind the TV, where we plugged in a laptop, it looked like the area had never been cleaned.
