Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Canmore

We had a wonderful stay with our dog. The pool and hot tub were great, the hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s in a central location. The disappointment was the extra fees, which weren’t clearly included in the price when we booked. More transparency about the total cost would have made the stay even better.

The room was hot even though it was only 5 degrees outside. The AC kept running with the thermostat set to its lowest, but it never cooled things down. The king bed had a deep sag, and as a side sleeper I kept getting pulled toward the middle. The kids found the pull-out couch comfortable enough, though they were too hot as well. We booked the room with the soaker tub and fireplace. We didn’t use the fireplace, but the tub was great, and the shower’s steam option was a nice feature. The bathroom was spacious, with double sinks, and the room was very clean. The pool and hot tub were fine, though you have to go outside to reach them even though they’re indoors. Check-in took a little while because one person was handling the desk, and parking cost an extra $10.00. We didn’t try the restaurant or other amenities.

We spent two nights here with friends and had a great time. The pool was a favorite, and the common areas were lovely. Everyone we met on staff was really nice, from the front desk and restaurant to housekeeping, who were especially great. The rooms were spotless, even the shower curtains looked new. They were a little small, and there might have been too many benches squeezed in. One odd detail was the flavored water, bell pepper and cilantro. So bizarre! Seasonal fruit would be much better. Maybe that’s a Canmore thing. We still had a blast.

The location made it easy to get around Canmore and enjoy the area, and I’d choose Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre again. I hadn’t known the hotel before our stay, but it exceeded my expectations. From arrival through checkout, staff were friendly, welcoming, and ready to help, whether at reception, in the lobby, or with housekeeping. Everything was impressively clean and well cared for. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, with furniture in excellent condition and spotless bathrooms. There’s also a good restaurant on site, which was a convenient place to eat, and a conference centre that appears to host different events and gatherings. The pool was pleasant, and the jacuzzi was a relaxing way to unwind after a long day. All in all, it was a great experience.
