The vegetarian choices were pretty limited, though the dishes they did have were really good. Breakfast was amazing, and our little room felt cozy. The building is older, so bring earplugs. I could hear the person next door snoring, but once I put the plugs in, I slept fine.

We’ll be back to try the wood-fired pizzas. Lunch at Crowsnest Vineyards Restaurant was a great stop before our fruit run in Keremeos, and we sat out on the patio on a lovely autumn day. I had the schnitzel with delicious hunter sauce, both as good as versions I’ve had in Germany and Austria. The Missus went for the huge schnitzel sandwich and managed it without taking it apart. The single server was juggling the dining room, hostess duties, and the bakery, and the service was excellent. We also left with cinnamon buns, apple fritters, and a couple of fresh loaves of bread.

The kitchen handled my slight egg allergy easily, swapping the poached egg in my brunch for scrambled. I had the eggs in a nest and highly recommend them. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely come back.

This stop between the Kootenays and the coast felt like a mini vacation. The room was large and comfortable, the vineyard setting was lovely, and the restaurant food was amazing. Staff were really friendly, the rates were very reasonable, and dogs are welcome. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.

Cawston is such a beautiful area, and the staff were wonderful. I was glad to find breakfast included; it was great, especially the homemade bread, and those cinnamon buns were hard to resist. We had a lovely stay and would have stayed two nights if we’d had the time. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
