Cabin 9 had a gorgeous lake view, and the whole place was quiet, calm, and pet friendly. There are loads of hikes, from easy ones to trails where you’ll need a 4x4. Alison and Toni at the front desk made us feel welcome, and Alison even pointed us to Onyx Falls, which wasn’t in our guidebook. The cabins are self sufficient, and the double kayak, pedal boats, paddle boards, and single kayaks were all in perfect condition. Laundry facilities were clean and worked well, and the showers and bathtubs were spacious and clean too. An introvert’s dream. We’ll definitely be back!

We went in April, during the off-season, and it was a great time to relax by the lake or visit waterfalls and hiking trails without running into anyone. April and early May seem perfect if you want that kind of quiet. We stayed for a week, and the staff were really friendly and pleasant.

We enjoyed our fall stay at St Ives Resort on Shuswap and would definitely try to return. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, while the resort itself was beautiful and well maintained. We got in some hikes that were a reasonable distance away, and it was nice having kayaks, paddle boards, and pedal boats available on site. A special thanks to Patty, our resort host/manager, for making the stay so good.

That queen bed was very comfortable, and the well-kept barbecues were a nice extra. We spent a week at St Ives and were impressed by how much was supplied in the kitchen and throughout the suite. If we needed another utensil, towel, or appliance, we could just ask. Management and staff were low-key but very efficient, with clear details, an easy check-in and check-out, and friendly help with any questions. We had plenty of our own gear, but it was still great to be able to borrow a kayak or paddleboard.
