My room was decent, and I had a good stay. The staff were really friendly too. One woman was especially sweet and spoke English fluently. She'd picked it up during a short time living in British Columbia.

The place was spacious, clean, and stocked well for the week, with new appliances and a comfortable bed. It’s in a small French-speaking village, and people were friendly and helpful. When I arrived, co-owner Michelle spoke only French, but we figured things out quickly with Google Translate. Earlier, after I left a message on the website in English while scrambling for a last-minute place for a job in Northern Quebec, co-owner Kim called within an hour to ask about my stay. She was super helpful, and I was booked minutes later. By city standards it’s certainly not five-star, but considering it’s 8-9 hours north of Montreal, I’d rate it a 10.

The town was lovely, and the people were really nice. The hotel was very nice too. When the first person I spoke with only knew French, she called the owner, who speaks English, and the owner went way out of her way to help us with our stay. Service was super helpful and friendly. I’d come back.
