Hampton Inn & Suites Charlottetown

We came to PEI for business and stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Charlottetown. Check-in was seamless, and we were greeted at the front desk. The room was clean and as expected. The pool was open, and there was a decent fitness area. Free breakfast was simple, as expected. The location worked for what we needed, though it’s a few minutes from downtown. It’s a viable place to stay. Safe travels.

A very clean hotel, and a great choice for families. Our spacious room was clean, the kids loved the pool, and there were lots of breakfast options. The staff were really friendly. We just wished we could cast shows or use Netflix, but that was a small thing and didn’t take away from the stay.

We were passing through the Maritimes in the off-season and weren’t looking to do touristy things. This Hilton property was a great fit for this part of our trip. The rooms were clean, quiet, and well maintained, and the staff were professional and excellent, as always. There was something for everyone at the free breakfast. If they didn’t have what you wanted, just ask, because the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. It’s on the edge of the city, so it was easy to get around the island and avoid a lot of the traffic.

The hotel itself was clean and nicely kept, but our stay was really disappointing. Only one elevator was running on our first night. The bigger problem was three boys playing soccer in the hallway after 10 pm. I told them to stop, and the next morning they were at it again. I didn’t report it then, but I spoke to them once more and mentioned it to the front desk at checkout. They gave us a small credit. Their parents walked past smiling when they checked out. Hilton should let parents know to keep their children from disturbing other guests, and have security make rounds so guests don’t have to handle it themselves. We won’t be back to PEI.
