The heater barely worked, cold air came through the door where weather stripping was needed, and the curtain didn’t fully cover the window. The room also had mold, spider webs, peeling paint, nail polish on the table, fingerprints on the TV and stained towels. It smelled strongly of cigarettes, which was a problem for me because I’m allergic. I requested a ground-floor room due to accessibility issues, and that turned out to be a mistake. The place was filthy and needs major repairs. With maintenance made a priority, they could charge a lot more for a room.

I stayed one night after a nearby wedding. The room was a little small, but clean and nicely furnished. The front desk person was friendly and gave me plenty of information. For the price, it was a good bargain.

The room was clean, the bed really comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Le Grand Kent Motel in Chatham was quiet and convenient for a short stopover. I had a great stay and would come back.

Flies were coming up through the sewer drain. This is the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed, the worst place in existence.

I had booked from out of town and arrived after the main office closed. I called the owner, who was on the premises, but he said he couldn’t check me in and wouldn’t refund the money. After sleeping in my car, I came back the next day to sort out what I thought was a misunderstanding, but they still refused a refund. I also saw how disgusting the place was while I was there. Maybe sleeping in the car was for the best. This business stole my money.
