We'd stayed here before without any problems, and even after a worrying last visit we were willing to try again. This time, noise was the issue, so we asked whether there were any rooms that weren't adjoining. That turned into my wife being accused of making racial comments. She was explaining that she'd spoken with a woman who had an accent, because the owner asked who she'd talked to about a possible reservation. Mentioning an accent wasn't a racial comment; she was trying to give the owner an accurate description. The woman who said she was the manager wouldn't give her name and hung up on my wife. When we raised our concerns, both the manager and owner got defensive instead of taking responsibility or listening to feedback. We booked two nights somewhere else. There are plenty of other options in Chatham, Ontario, and customer service like this makes it hard to recommend the place.

The rooms and lobby are clean, and the staff are always welcoming. I enjoy staying here every time. Breakfast is a nice way to start the day, too. I'll definitely be back soon.

The staff were so friendly and easy to talk to, and getting around the small hotel was simple since no room was far away. My room was clean and updated, with a comfortable bed and no carpet, which I appreciated. I also liked being able to open the window for fresh air. On a hot day, the clean outdoor pool was the best, with cool water that felt great.

The room was clean, and the bed was excellent. Even with some hallway noise coming through the worn doors, I slept deeply. It's an old motel that's been renovated and given a second life, with new finishes. I'd recommend it if you need a clean place to stay overnight in Chatham.

The room was nice and very clean. I got up early to drive home, so housekeeping had from 8 a.m. onward to check the room. Still, having $100 charged to my card for five days felt like a bit much.
