Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Chilliwack

The heated outdoor hot tub was a highlight, and the room was immaculate with great amenities. I didn't hear highway or train noise at all, and I'll stay here again. The staff were fantastic, especially Shawn/Sean, though I can't remember the spelling, the guy in the sweet cardigan. He was the absolute best and deserves raises and a company card.

Diane, who handled our reservation, was so welcoming and lovely. Monica was just as kind at breakfast, greeting us and helping us make waffles, and she was helpful to the other guests, too. The hotel and our room were beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the beds were great. We enjoyed the hot tub in its lovely, relaxing surroundings. The sound machine was a unique and nice touch in the room.

The location worked well, with easy access to the highway, restaurants, and shopping. Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Chilliwack would suit either a business trip or a leisure visit, and I'd happily choose it again. Breakfast was complimentary, with a good mix of hot and cold choices. We found the staff professional, friendly, and ready to help. Check-in and check-out were smooth. The hotel is clean, modern, and well maintained; our spacious, thoughtfully designed room was comfortable and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. It made a dependable, relaxing place to unwind after a long day.

The extra charges were a lot, and the service and attitude weren't great. They do help, but it feels like everything costs more, even credit card fees. The $75 pet fee seemed excessive compared with the $25/night at the Penticton location. Would I come back? Probably not. The outdoor pool and hot tub were awesome. It's a new, modern, clean hotel, and the rooms are above average.
