Jean, the host, is a real gold mine for conversation and exchanges, and his tourist tips were a pleasure to hear. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. This was a very good stay for a visit to Quebec. The B&B is an unusual one in an old house in the neighborhood, with a fairly spacious room, thoughtfully chosen decor, and all the equipment needed for a pleasant visit.

At "Aux Années Folles," Mr. Daoust welcomed me with a smile from his porch and a delicious summer snack. I stayed two nights, July 6-8, 2018, and felt at home in his home. He has a big heart and I highly recommend his hospitality. He made me French toast and a crepe with almond milk at breakfast to accommodate my dairy intolerance. He hadn't heard of almond milk before I told him about it, but the food was delicious!

We got such a warm welcome from the owner, with seasonal strawberries and cookies waiting for us. The place was quiet and clean, with lovely decor, and there was a beautiful dog too.

It was peaceful and easy to reach the highways, and we could walk to the Videotron Centre. Buses into the city stop nearby and come often. The welcome was friendly, too.
