Unilofts Grande-Allée

The location is good, which is why I picked the hotel despite the reviews. The entrance and lobby were dark, dirty and dank, with very narrow stairs and no elevator. We made it up after I fell on the stairs. The linens were worn thin and smelled like the body oil of whoever had slept on them before us. The frayed towels smelled of mildew as I dried off, and the overused pleather chair in the bathroom was peeling. The room's corners were dusty and dirty. We spent little time in there because it smelled and felt unclean. If you just need somewhere to sleep, it does that much. Otherwise, move on.

The bathrooms were nice and very functional. The entrance was dirty, though, and the place was incredibly noisy. I slept on an awful sofa bed that was bumpy all over and creaked a lot. The beds were poorly made.

Grande allée gets very noisy, so ask for a room on the far side of the building if you want to sleep. If you're the one partying until 3 am, any room will do. The hotel is decent and well located if you don't mind waking up, though it's not especially luxurious. There's plenty of parking within a 2-minute walk. No elevator.

The bathroom floor had sticky glue on it, and mold was coming out of the AC unit. The window was bolted shut. This was the worst hotel I've stayed at, and I stay in a lot of hotels. Zero out of 10. We left and went somewhere else, which I'd highly recommend. We left a message for the manager, but they never called us back.
