The two employees we dealt with were very friendly, but couldn't move us to another room. I'm grateful the hotel manager refunded our money at checkout, which was decent and appropriate given what happened. The mattress was the worst part. It had no support and felt like an old cottage mattress from the 70's. When we called the desk to ask for another room, they said none were available but told us we wouldn't be charged. I couldn't sleep in the bed and spent the night in the chair, getting only 3 hours of sleep. My husband lay sideways on the bed to find enough support. There were other problems: the handheld shower head didn't work, though the main one did, and the bathroom had no night light, making nighttime use challenging. The desk chair was loose and wobbly and needs repair or replacement. The hotel is behind an industrial area, far from restaurants and not in a walkable spot. At $350 a night, including tax and member discount, this hotel wasn't worth it. We wouldn't recommend it. We were disappointed by so many things.

The one drawback was a very slow check-in, with just one person at reception. Otherwise, it met our expectations, and we'd stay again. Parking was easy, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed and shower were good. Breakfast was fine, with a mix of hot and cold items, and the staff were very friendly.

The staff made us and our kids feel welcome everywhere we went. They quickly and happily handled anything we needed, brought pool towels promptly after a quick call when they ran out, and showed us how to use the music and other controls in the pool area. We also really appreciated the early check-in and late checkout. Breakfast was well stocked and maintained with the usual choices. We came for a brief overnight staycation with our kids, and were very happy with the visit. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and the pool, slide, and hot tub were all a hit. One small thing we noticed: there were outlets EVERYWHERE in the room, so no searching around to plug things in.

We stopped here for a night of rest with our family and dog during a Highway 1 trip, and it was just right. The room was more spacious than at other hotels we've stayed in. Breakfast was great, and the waterslide was a big hit. Opal at reception was especially warm and kind. We really appreciated the service.

The kids loved the clean pool, and the water temperature was just right. They wanted to stay another night. We had our dog with us, and the rooms were clean and soundproof. From Sara's friendly greeting at check-in to Donna's evening directions for finding food nearby, everyone made us feel welcome. What a GEM in Chilliwack, we felt at home as soon as we came in. It's a great spot for a quiet getaway away from the city. We'll be back! JC#211
