The rooms looked upgraded, were reasonably clean, and made for a comfortable stay. Ours faced the parking lot, which got noisy at times, though we could still see a bit of the harbour from the balcony in the mornings. The location is good, about a 10 min walk or 5 min bike ride from central Tofino, and the marina views are beautiful. The lobby is in a separate building from the main hotel. They offer coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, along with merchandise for sale. Support is handled by text, which was convenient, but a couple of my questions never got a reply. We booked the dining packed, which included a dining credit for a local restaurant, and paid a one-night deposit. A couple of days later, I got a note about a 25% off sale that would have saved us a significant amount. I’d like the Resort to make its booking policy more flexible so guests can take part in those promotions. We had a great stay overall and would consider coming back to the Tofino Resort + Marina. They also offer different sightseeing experiences that we may look into next time.

That fire was fantastic, and Zach even brought up fresh spot prawns for our group, such a treat. There were nine of us on the floating sauna trip, and he was a great captain, pointing out wildlife and answering all our questions. I’ve tried other floating saunas, but this one was easily my favorite. Thanks, Zach!

We were there for ten nights, from Dec 23rd to Jan 2nd, and would happily stay again. The place is central, an easy walk into town and a quick drive to Chesterman Beach, where we went every day. Our room had a lovely view, was spacious and clean, and the bed and soft linens were comfortable. The staff were wonderful, especially Eva, Shannon and Lindsay. They were kind to our furbabies, too. We arrived late after ferry delays and only discovered once we got to the room that the staff had thoughtfully upgraded us. Thank you so much for that lovely surprise!

The room was just okay, and for the price I expected more. It didn’t feel like a resort, and without AC I’d put the room’s value closer to $250. They say they’re dog friendly and provide bowls and a dog bed, but we weren’t offered either. Room service comes at 4pm, right when you’re getting ready for dinner, which made no sense to me. A friend traveling with us found no shower gel, and the towels smelled like they’d been in a fire. When she raised it with staff, they said they’d refill things when they cleaned the room and acted like it was nothing. We wouldn’t stay here again. It didn’t seem like they cared about getting repeat business.

The marina is beautiful, and having boat tours, fishing and other ocean activities right there was a real bonus. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant, both the food and its view. Tofino’s downtown shops and beaches are close by, so it’s easy to get out and explore. Our room was comfortable, clean and stylish, and the water views made the resort feel peaceful throughout the day. The staff were friendly and ready with help or suggestions whenever we needed them. We had a wonderful stay at Tofino Resort + Marina and would gladly return on another trip, whether for downtime or adventure.
