Dutch Lake Resort & RV Park

The lakeside setting is lovely, but the high price is hard to justify given what’s provided. We’ve stayed at other campgrounds with better service for the same price or less. The sites are narrow and have no hedges or boundaries, so RVs and trailers sit close together with little privacy. They also weren’t well maintained, with uneven, unlevel, dusty ground and no gravel. We found rubbish from previous guests and wondered whether sites get cleaned after checkout. The washrooms and showers were old, dirty, and worn out, with lots of spider webs on the ceiling and ventilation. There were only two showers and three toilet stalls for the whole campground, which wasn’t enough.

Check-in was friendly, and the toilets and showers were very clean. There are good RV sites, some with a great view of Dutch Lake. You can do laundry, and there’s a restaurant near the campground.

We spent two nights at a site overlooking the lake. After hiking, it was lovely to cool off in the water, and the campground was quiet. The nearby stalls didn’t bother us. The bathrooms and showers were clean, and the showers were free.

We rented a canoe and paddleboard, and spent time swimming in the lake. The location and relaxed, friendly feel made this one of our favourite stops, and we had a lovely couple of days. There were fire pits too. Laundry was a bit of a hassle: two washers but only one working dryer, so clothes were always waiting in line. The showers could have been cleaner, but we still loved the campsite.
