Breakfast was great and rounded out our stay at this francophone bed and breakfast. The place has real character and an interesting past: it used to be a nunnery and was towed across the ice to where it stands now. It's a valuable punt not far from PEI.

The owner was friendly and gave us a great account of the building's and area's history. The rooms were tidy and clean, with lovely decor, and felt like home. Breakfast was friendly, healthy, and accommodated my gluten-free diet. It's close to bouchtouche dunes, giant lobster in shediac, and parlee beach.

Cocagne is a handy base for exploring interesting places along the Acadian coast. We spent two nights at Madison Mer de Cocagne and found it clean and beautiful. Guylane was a lovely host, friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed chatting with her. Breakfast was delicious.
