The owner, Dan, was helpful without hovering, and the staff were friendly throughout my couple of days here. My room was simple but comfortable, and I liked sitting outside in the evening to watch the sunset over the water. It’s a peaceful, beautiful setting if you want time to unwind. Fishing was a highlight for me: the dock was easy to get to, and there seemed to be plenty of fish around. It works for a serious angler or someone who just wants a few relaxing hours by the water. I’d consider coming back.

The beds had more bugs and other creatures on them than the bench outside, and I could see bugs crawling over the mattress. The furniture in the cottage was filthy, like it had never been cleaned. Toilets wouldn’t flush, and there was rust and mold everywhere. The couch was so dirty I’d rather sit on the rocks outside. There were no bulbs in the bathroom lights, and the ceiling fan looked like it might fly off. This place has a lot of potential if someone would clean it. The cleaner had a bucket with only water, no cleaning product in sight. If you want to give your family nightmares, stay here. Otherwise, avoid it at all costs.

Right on the water, clean, and a good spot for fishing. We went last weekend and the place was good. When we ran out of propane, we called Denny, the office manager, and he brought a new tank down in five minutes. Really pleasant service. There’s Wi-Fi, and the LCBO is 900m away.

The rooms are inexpensive but look old, and the washroom door won’t close properly. You can’t swim. The owner was somewhat helpful, and he’s Chinese.
