My Mom, Sister and I stayed in one of the cottages from February to April. I’ve been travelling and am only getting around to writing this now. By the end, the owners had looked after us so well that we felt like family. They communicated wonderfully and always made sure we were comfortable. The property was clean and cozy, and stayed well maintained after snowfall. The waterfront setting is stunning. I only wish we’d been there longer to enjoy the warmer months. I can’t say enough about the place and the owners. I’d recommend it for a summer lake getaway, a winter snow machining trip, or just a cozy fall weekend. I’m absolutely planning to stay again when I’m in the area.

The host was really friendly and helpful with our questions, and Victoria harbour and midland are both close by, so there’s always something to do. We had a great little vacation. Our cottage was cute and cozy, with the kitchen, living room and bedroom all in one open space. The view from the dock at night was amazing. They offer kayaks and other things to do; we brought our own kayaks and explored the nearby waters, which have lots of good places to paddle. I’d highly recommend this spot for a getaway.

There’s a private sandy beach, though the lake is very weedy, so we swam at two public beaches just a five-minute drive away. The cottage is peaceful even on weekends, and rainy days are easy with free Wi-Fi and a smart TV. Paddle boats, kayaks with life vests, and bikes are available at no extra charge. We rented the one-room chalet. It was snug, but three adults and two kids slept comfortably. The kids loved the loft, the king-sized bed was very comfortable, and the pullout couch was good and easy to set up. The kitchen and bathroom were fantastic. Just bring food and swim towels; there’s also a dishwasher and natural gas BBQ. The location is great, with everything you need a 5-10 minute drive away and heritage sites nearby. Our host Nicole was welcoming and quick to answer questions by text. The lockbox made check-in and checkout easy. Halfway home, my daughter realized she’d left her stuffie behind, and Nicole kindly mailed it to us. I highly recommend this place for families, though I’d rent the bigger cottage. It’d also make a wonderful romantic getaway.

We’ve stayed here a few times and love it. The house is beautiful, well located for walking and perfect for the lake. These are privately owned cottages, not a resort.
