Tucked Inn the Harbour Bed & Breakfast

At Tucked Inn the Harbour B&B, we had a spacious room with a very comfortable bed, and breakfast was delicious. Harry and Carol were among the best hosts we’ve stayed with, so kind and accommodating. Restaurants, attractions and parks are a short drive away, while the B&B itself feels tucked into the harbour. We had a wonderful stay and definitely recommend it.

When we got home, all four people at the B&B, Harry, Carol and the other two guests, tested positive for COVID. Soon after, all four of us tested positive too. It was very disappointing. Harry and Carol had been wonderful hosts on our earlier visits, but this time I feel they were negligent and should have told us about their condition before we arrived. We’d stayed with them several times. On this visit, Harry greeted my wife, my sister, her partner, who was visiting from England, and me. He said he wasn’t feeling well, probably because he’d had a few too many glasses of wine the night before. We settled in and went out to eat. The next morning we had a lovely breakfast, with good wishes for my sister, who turned 80 that day. After a full day out, we returned to find Harry, Carol and two other guests at the kitchen table. They didn’t seem themselves, and one of the men looked very sick. We learned he’d spent the day in bed feeling ill, and that Carol had had a scratchy throat for several days before we arrived. We suspected COVID, but were assured they had all tested negative. We decided to leave and go home, but were still asked to pay for the remaining two nights.

My husband and I have stayed here for two years while our cottage is being built up the road. Harry and Carol have been so kind that they’ll be our first good friends once we move to the area. The hospitality is what makes this a 11 out of 10 B&B. Carol’s gourmet breakfasts and beautifully set table are lovely, and the bedrooms are cozy with everything you could wish for. It feels like running the B&B is a hobby they adore, and they love entertaining every guest who comes through the door. You could stay at a thousand B&Bs around the world and, I guarantee, no one would treat you with the warmth Harry and Carol do. You’ll be absolutely delighted!

We only had one night at Tucked Inn the Harbour B&B, and I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Carol and Harry welcomed us warmly and made us feel like family. I felt they really cared about getting to know my family and me. It’s the cleanest, most comfortable and inviting bed and breakfast I’ve stayed in. The home and location are beautiful, and breakfast was delicious. I have a few dietary restrictions, and they accommodated them without a second thought. Thank you, Carol and Harry.
